this may seem stupid when im playing music i cant find a stop button how do i stop the music i pushed pause which pauses it but that just pauses doesnt kill the track please help

As far as I know the Pause button is the only way to Stop the music.

No, I don't think it is doing anything in the background.  I have no idea if this is true, but an answer you asked for, an answer you received

Pause the song and hit home to leave the music player. There's no stop or quit.

I tend to agree with f3justusc, it's still running the player in the background.  If you go back in, it continues from where it left off.  You don't get the same options you do when you first go in, it doesn't rescan your SD, etc. 

Unless I'm missing something as well ....

The only way to get it to stop playing in the background is take out your SD Card....or turn off/on the phone.....


EDIT: Z is right...it technically isn't doing anything in the background but i think thats where the ram comes in to kinda remember where you last were.

Technically, it's not doing anything in the background.  It just goes back to where you left it, like the TV.
