With Nav v2.1.0.23 I notice the phone now freezes if...
- Open Navigation
- Maps and Traffic.
- Wait for map of current location to load
- Hit Home button at bottom of phone to exit map
- Hit "Main" icon on screen
Phone will blink then freeze for about 30 seconds. Be patient. It is OK after the delay.

This happens every time. Slightly irritating but worth it if other fixes are as good as they claim. (So far seems faster.)

Update: I also tried exiting Nav by Hitting Contacts (Phone) button at bottom of phone then Contacts Icon on screen. It freezes the same way then OK after delay.

P.S. Had open Nav twice before update was offered as mentioned by another post.

Sure hope I put this in the right place. Mods: Please move if needed.

This was mentioned over in the main update thread too ... if you use the arrow to exit out of Nav, the error can be avoided. (Shouldn't have to do that, but it does work to get past the freezing)

Thanks Stormygal. Good info! (Sorry, I thought I looked well enough for the info before posting.)

BTW, I just tried the arrow and it works without freeze but upon further testing I noticed that if I change zoom, etc. multiple times, I have to left arrow multiple times to work backwards to the exit point.

Still, arrow is a good tip and I am happy with the update!  Smiley

No problem, webguy!  And on that arrow, I got accustomed to using it before when I was afraid the nav would continue running in the background. Arrowing back was the only way I could get the app to ask me if I really meant to exit.

UPDATE 9/27/08: I still have the newer rev .23 nav but after the BH29 firmware update it no longer hangs if I exit via home button. Nice!

Didn't I hear something or read something to the effect of them releasing program updates tomorrow? If this is true, wouldn't the newer NAV version be included?

Cool..it's just a step to you're left. And then a step to your right. You put your hands on your hips... and pull your knees in tight.
