Music Player "Shuffle"?

In the music player when I select "shuffle" the song are not in random order. the player has some method of finding similar song that it plays if shuffle is selected.

To confirm that it doesn't select random songs i selected one specific song and then let it "shuffle" to 14 other songs and I wrote down the order of the song it played, I did this three times and every single time it played exactly the same songs in exactly the same order!

Is there a option some where to select truly random shuffle?

I agree...i think the way it shuffles is linear. no matter how you put them on it will almost always shuffle the same way.....ive yet to see a shuffle that actually goes for a random song

I do shuffle all teh time and I've been listening to about the same 2 gigs of music off an 8 gig card. Some stuff I've never even had come up.
