GPS Freezing Phone/Not Working

Well I did search multiple times and can't find anyone addressing this problem. I called Sprint (provider) and they reset the phone. The GPS worked, but when I tried to use it the next day it was the same old story:

I click Navigation
The normal screen comes up
I go to tap "Search" "Drive to" "Maps" etc and the phone flashes and freezes.
Screen goes black showing nothing but the signal and battery
Then shows "Entering Sprint ______ Area" as if I just turned the phone on.

Short of skipping the phone across the driveway, any suggestions?

Didn't work, but thanks for showing me something I didn't know about! That feature is awesome! Basically what I use the GPS for.

EDIT: I tried it again and hit the "Drive to" button. The GPS is working normally.

I apparently missed TBSCO's edit...

So I used the Live search to search for something, and *also* had it map to the location.  That *finally* fixed my navigation.  if navigation is freezing, try a bunch of stuff in live search.

I tell ya, when the phone works, I like it.  Problem is, that's less than 50% of the time...
