So, I'm not seeing the new changes...  Do all of you guys use Gmail?  Maybe a Gmail account has to be set up to get the calander stuff  cause I don't use Gmail.

Yeah you gotta have a Gmail account, I wonder if this means one day we'll see Doc support as well :]

I got it to work. I had to update my data service in the settings tab. and now it works. nice feature. make the phone a little more bearable until the next phone I purchase. July can't come any faster.

I see gmail calendar on phone but none of my existing events have come through to the phone's version of gmail calendar.  Tried refreshing and updating software to no avail - any other recommendations to get this working?

thx

Just did it on my HD and it worked perfectly.  VERY cool - no need to go online to access the gmail calendar.  A few more updates like this and the HD will be one of the best phones out!  Now all we need is ....

Try resyncing your Google Calendar on your phone, After, your Outlook is already working...can't think of any reason why it can't import that info, hopefully they will fix it if that is a bug.

Any idea if additional calendar support will be added? Right now I can only view my main gmail calendar, so I've moved all my stuff over to that one, but then I lose the color coded convenience on my PC. Not to mention shared calendar stuff has to be copied over to my main cal.

I was pleasantly surprised when I stumbled across this, as I was when proper viewing of the calendar.google.com website was added. I just figured out I can also access it from Calendar->Work Calendar so I can add it to Favs! I wonder what other cool stealth updates I haven't discovered yet. At this rate, I think by the time I'm eligible for a phone upgrade in October I might be a litttttle bit sad to see this two year old phone go. It has certainly come a long, long way - excellent work!

FYI - if you have Outlook and have it synched with your google canlendar - you can add updates in one place and have them go everywhere in both directions.  If you add events to the phone cal it will update to your Outlook and vice versa.  I believe that will supercede your issue.

I just noticed that yesterday, I was like, YEAH!! Defiantly loved this update, sadly it probably will be the last major thing upgraded on the phone outside of apps like navigation, which are across all their phones. They already announced no more firmware updates to improve performance and such.

I will not hit my 2 years until Dec, and unless I get a good paying job til then, I doubt i'd pay the ETF [even if it is prorated] to hope over to Verizon to get the Nexus One, but that's the baby I am eying long term. I KNOW google will support that baby for a long time, and it looks so awesome with it's AMOLED screen!

I'll give that a shot.

That's too bad about the end of software updates. I'll stick with Spring in October, but I'm hoping the HTC Supersonic is out by then.

i have a google calender.  do i have to have a gmail account to make it work with my phone?  will it work with my yahoo email?

I use the email app every day, almost every hour in fact. idk, ppl email me a lot from work, school, ect. I know how it's suppose to look, except tonight when I clicked the email icon, under the Gmail Tab to my emails, there was a Gmail Calendar Tab!

Is this new??? I never saw it appear before tonight. Either way, AWESOME. I love my instinct, angel
