Would the forum admins please create a thread that would list exactly what's being addressed with the new updates, if/when known?  Something like the separate threads with the updates would be nice.

I'm sorry, but I am very suspicious of these small updates we get and no one sees any changes.  It would be nice if Sprint would list on their site what issues are being addressed with each update.  Just changing the number of an application is not enough for me.  I want to see an itemization of what's being addressed.  Every software company does that when there's an update.  It's not asking much from Sprint.

We're on the same brain wave. I've already sent a msg to our resident Email guy to see if he could tell us what was in that update. We'll keep checking elsewhere too and see what we can find regarding the other updates. We will either put that in the newly created Official Update Info section, or we will place the threads in the relevant other areas and cross-link to them from that Info section.

Hey, Stormygal, one thing about crosslinks is that they don't show up as links in the Instinct browser...they're plain text. Is there a way to chg that so they work in the mobile version?

Wow, let me dig into this and see if there's anything we can do! Short-term, quick workaround though, if you go into the site via Standard Mode, you can get clickable links.

I suspect it could be something to do with the coding of a URL link on here (it uses http:// tags) and in normal HTML code that's usually an [href] tag. Might be something with how the mobile browser is interpreting.

Stay tuned.

No
UPDATE................New software versions post update 8/12

Sprint TV and Visual voicemail got an update this evening, the following are the new software versions......

Voicemail: VN.4.1.0.19
TV:               3.0.47
Email:            6.9.1.283

I tried to update and it said that I had the current software, but I don't have the aforementioned versions.  Is there something else I have to do, or are the updates coming out depending your geographic location?
Open your email, go to settings and select check for upgrade. Go to TV, and select a channel, the update should start by itself. Check here for more updates http://www.instinct-samsung.com/index.php/topic,3321.0.html

Thanks, I got the tv update after I posted this, but the strangest thing happened when I tried to update the email, I opened it and it gave me the update screen but didn't update and wouldnt give me the update option again.  Thanks for letting me know how to do it.

Only a handful of people are on the newer PE version, most of us, including me, are still on 1.0.8

Emtbreid's list is not necessarily what he has on his phone -- it's our post where the admins and mods are updating what the newest/latest version folks are reporting.

Can anyone breifly explain why the general settings Update Software button seems to do nothing? And to truly update we either have to open the feature (such as Sprint TV) or open the feature and find an additional Update Software button (such as with the mail client). It just seems to be a ghost button. I literally read through a baker's dozen of posts on PRL update crap only to find that my phone is on the current vers...  anyway I'm venting.  This phone is great but I can't help but want more out of it after hearing about all the cool things that are eventually supposed to happen with it.
