im lookin at my updates on my phone right now and for some reason my hw is showing m800.10 i dont know whats goin on there but you guys might want to just try running a software upgrade

Still shows 800.08 here....hummm...s30 or origional?

i have the m800 not the s30...  i dont know whats up with the hw... i had a issue with my old one went to sprint got a referb did the update and it updated to ch27 then i was doin my prl update and hit software by acc. and it started to do a update.  let it go through with the update and heres where i am now

M800.10 means its a refurbished model people. We talked about this a long long long time ago..... He just confirmed it by saying he got a refurb!!!

The only way to explain it is this. From talking to best buy and sprint reps. When people buy phones just to play with them for 2 weeks or whatever and return them they go to the warehouse for future refurbs. Im sure that for those guys doing that which i think is stupid they log those phones as non broken phones. For the phones that had a motherboard problem or screen problem or something more serious where something needs to be replaced im sure they log em as such. The ones with .10 are probably the ones that needed new hardware. The refurbs that were only returned cuz some douchebag wanted to rent the phone (instead of playing with it in the store for a couple of hours with a detailed checklist to look for) and returned the phone then those probably stay M800.08's. Does that make sense?

I was merely talking just about the douchebags that actually just rent the phone with no intent to keep it. Thats all...renting...is the term I used. :-) And  yeah the people who dont research the phone....I saw a guy in the sprint store trying to return a phone past the 30 day return window...and hes like "I dont like this phone. I hate how the keyboard is. The phone is too wide too. I hate it, I want a different phone." He was talkin about that LG flip phone cant remember the name of it...and im thinking...Well I hate looking at the phone so how could you walk out of the store then 30+ days later hate it when I hate it BEFORE i leave the store. hahahaha Im talkin about people like that that walk into a store and dont know what they want...Dont know wat they like.

About ur phones all having broken screens and stuff...I know it makes sense cuz I thought it up. Thats what makes sense to me. The last 5 people on this forum that I read about having a M800.10 had a refurbished model.

Thats exactly what im saying. The best buy rep said that he has like 10 customers that EVERYTIME a new phone comes out...it doesn't matter if its top of the line like the Moment or crappy like the low end phones. THey come in, buy it, try it, return it, EVERYTIME a new phone comes out....Thats how you get refurbished M800.08 phones :-P Its stupid though. I researched the Instinct before I bought it. However I went off of the terms "IPhone killer" and "best of the market" and bs like that....If i knew a year down the road id end up with freezing, slow moving os, with a 1252 song limit message that should NEVER pop up in my face....EVER I would have went with a winmo phone...But its ok cuz I met you fine people.

and ironically its looking like alot of us are moving on to the Hero. i was on that forum earlier today and there are quite a few. Yeah getting the new phones every time they come out is pretty dumb...i wouldn't even be surprised (hope they don't) if Sprint were to start charging a small restocking fee for the returned phones. cause thos are phones that could have went to someone whom actually was looking for the phone and could have had to wait because there dumb ass whanted to "play" with it for a little while.
