Background Music Player Mode

While Googling the Instinct I have found reviews talking about a background music player mode to use while texting and surfing. I have the original dinosaur Instinct. Anyone know if this feature exists for this phone? Lost my box and manual shortly after buying the phone. My wife probably tossed it. Any way, I've had this phone since last fall and never heard of this feature 'till now. Is it possible on this phone? And I can't find anything for sure on expandable memory. I want to get a bigger card. Anyone know for sure how big a card the Instinct can handle? (the m800)

You start your music player, hit the home key, and then do whatever it'll let you do. Some people have reported that a 16gb card will work. I have an 8 gig in mine.
