LT1FirebirdSLP, I'm okay with skepticism. As for differences - most notable is both .23 and .25 seem to load and refresh Maps & Traffic views faster than .21, though for all I know that could be the result of network and server changes.

For the last couple weeks I had frequent starting-point problems with .23 navigation, which was part of my reason for caving in to what I thought was a backward upgrade prompt. With .25 I've had one starting-point mislocation incident (out of ~10 nav sessions), but it recovered quickly.

.25 seems to launch faster than .23 (& .21 I think), but .23 launch might have been slowed by the need to load the upgrade nag screen every time. And in .25 I've not been able to recreate the phone-crash problem I saw with .23. I still need to exercise the Search feature; haven't tried that with .25.

Hope this helps.

Aaand according to a poster on the Instinct BAW forum, .25 **is** .21, with a different version number.

I currently have version 2.1.0.25, for the Nav app.  I don't frequently utilize the program, so I only recently noticed this problem.  When I launch the app it does load the initial screen, with "Drive To", "Search", etc.  It remains on that main menu for a couple of seconds the screen "flashes", phone freezes and then jumps to the phone Speed Dial screen after a short period.  The Nav seems unusable currently.

I have turned off, removed battery, all without success.  Anyone experiencing similar problems?  Known fix/workaround?

thcdp, I think you're seeing what I call a soft reset. I've had that happen once with this version of Nav, but in my case it was in the midst of an active navigation session.

Is anyone experiencing problems with the Nav. app?  I am still experiencing the same problem as before, where it freezes shortly after being launched.  The recent update to the phone software did not correct the issue.

I don't utilize the Nav. app that often, but it would be nice if it worked as expected.  Does anyone have any suggestions to resolve or workaround this?

Well, if I had understood, I wouldn't have asked... Unfortunately I'm not as technically savvy... I'm more of a philosopher, but I still see nowhere where it outright says how to make it update.  But thanks for the captain obvious approach... Oops... ok, I get it now, but my point is that I still want to know how to get the navigation to even check for an update since some people know how to do it, and I don't.

It will prompt you. As they said before. When it opens, it will prompt you to upgrade if there is one. If  it was so obvious then you would have gotten it. And I don't know how tech savvy you have to be to understand the statement ".21 is the same as .25," but it happens I suppose.

Common sense, isn't.

I am locking this thread ... the current nav version on the phone is BOTH  .21  and .25 -- they are the same.

Folks who did not roll back the .23 update to .21 when prompted, were placed on .25 which is the equivalent of .21.
