I don't know if anyone here is privy to this information but I will give it a shot.  I need to know if the Instinct will offer Exchange sync/push support.  I have heard that no, it will not.  I have also heard that it will only have email and contact sync capabilities, but no calendar or tasks.  I currently have a Touch and rely on these capabilities.  I love the look and features of the Instinct, but if it will not support Exchange it will be a no go for me.

I don't think the Instinct will be able to sync to outlook it is not a pda/smartphone it is a powersource phone that is full touchscreen. In other words it will be somewhat like the Motorola Rzr 2 V9m but full touchscreen.

From what I have read the Instinct will not sync with Outlook itself, but it WILL sync with your Exchange server.  They have said it will sync inbox and contacts, and I'm trying to see if it will sync calendar items and tasks as well.

It will sync through the Sprint Mobile email application however that application does not allow calender to be synced. You will only will be able to get your email.

Well, I just found out that it doesn't support calendar, tasks, and notes.  Looks like I will have to wait for Instinct 2.0.

i'm still using an older flip phone and the calendar in this thing is atrocious. once i add an event, i only have around 14 characters to fit all the information.

has anybody used the instinct's calendar? please tell me there is a better way to list appointments and such.

I just spoke with our Sprint Dedicated Wireless Support Rep to activate a new phone.  He was unaware of being able to get a phone on the 19th and I forwarded him the email we all received.  From what I have learned so far, email with sync with Exchange Server however contacts and calender wont since its not running Microsoft Mobile.  We discussed the fact that for me, this is bad and a plus for the new iphone since is will run ActiveSync.  He said he was in training this morning for the Instinct and thinks its really nice, but more importantly he said "don't quote me", but in the next month or so, calenders and contacts may sync.  Aside from using web based or third-party software, it would be nice if it had ActiveSync like my Mogul and the new iphone.  Keeping my fingers crossed.

It does offer push e-mail, but it uses Outlook Web Access to get to the mail. It doesn’t sync with calendar, however.

With network address book you can sync from your Outlook contacts. If you have an existing device, you can move the contacts over in the store or Bluetooth them over. The Instinct uses the network address book to store everything on the network and you can sync it with Outlook.
