You seem to know a lot about android.... Isn't it true that even if we have the older android we could always update it and or install new UI's?? I know on winmo 6.1 I can download a IPhone UI for my dads phone!

Im going with the Moment because of the keyboard and AMOLED screen but mainly the keyboard.  I'm not crazy about virtual keyboards, my friend has a MyTouch 3G and he says the virtual keyboard took some getting used to.  So, since the Moment is only a couple weeks away I will wait for it.

I would agree about the keyboard but anyone who is on this forum most likely is used to a virtual keyboard since they have/had the Instinct M800, S30 or the HD Smiley
I got the original istinct the day it came out.  I kept it for 9 months and couldnt take the virtual keyboard any longer.  So I figured the keyboard on the Hero will be exactly as the MyTouch which my friend says he has his ups and downs with, so I do have experience with virtual keyboards.  If the Moment wasnt being released soon I would get the Hero.

So your getting the Moment? I know im excited about the 600-800 MHZ with codec support for H264. Let alone Android..and from the looks of it...most Android phones support Java Apps as well.

All of the porting in of different builds comes from xda-developers which is a HTC specific forum. Over there you can find out how to root your device and then how to load one of the numerous different builds available. Im afraid with the samsung moment since its not HTC there wont be nearly as big of a developer community to support it.

Okay I see that this phone now is put in "other cell" forum.  Has there been some revelation/release that this is no longer the Instinct Q?  I know it was called the Moment at press release, but does this mean it is not part of the Instinct family.  We got room for a half brother dont we?
