So heres the question. Now that we've got a glimse of both phones which one tickles your fancy? Is it the m850 with the 5MP cam and smaller form factor, or the android loaded m900? Can you wait the extra month (at leaste) for the m900? Or are you looking for something else completely like the TP 2 or Hero?

Personally I'm shooting for the m850. I like the powerfull cam and I just can wait for another 2 months or more for a new phone. Plus I've never been an fan of slide-out keyboards and I like the fact that there are no hard buttons on the m850. I'm gonna miss out on android, but as a Sprint Premier member, its only 12 months for another upgrade so I wont have to wait too long.

But thats just me. What do you guys think? Post your reason for your vote! Let your voice be heard!

(Mods if this is in the wrong place, please move it and sorry in advance)

I think that i'll be going with the S50 as well.  I've gotten so used to this form factor, it'd be hard to give it up. Smiley

I'm torn between both the 850 and the 900 because I don't know how the app support is for the 850.  The 900 has app support from android but a lower pixel camera. The 850 has hd recording, so I will get the 850 in sep. World said it had little app support and I read that the brew is supposed to be easier for developers, but that is what they said about the s30. So i hope they will make some apps for it. If they don't the hardware the original instinct has worked for me so far. Not a fan of a physical keyboard also.

I haven't seen the M900 YET but im still heading for it because it has Android. I mean seriously....The few big complaints about the M800/S30 is that there is NO apps for it. Go on getjar and do a search for Android Apps. Go to m.google.com to download google maps 2.3.2 with latitude and all that. You wont get it for our phone from that website but you can for Android! There are so much more Apps for Android then there is for Brew. Do you guys want to be stuck on this site forever limited to 30 apps from instinct-software.com and you only use 10 of them? THIS is not a bash against BeMe,KB, DK (no longer with us), MB or anyone at instinct-software.com im just saying that almost EVERYONE complains about Apps available and you people are going to be sucked right back into a phone because of a 5 MP camera? The M900 has a light sensor, accelermeter and all the good stuff too. I dont understand. Yeah the S50 might have HD recording or it just might have HD picture taking and you can output the pictures to the TV. 5 MP is barely HD to begin with yet you guys are going to stick to it simply because of a camera? Ill see what the M900 has and play with them both before i made a decision!

I agree that both phones have all the good stuff, but if java is implemented correctly then developers for the s50 will have no problem getting apps out. I hope they leave it to samsung to put the apps out because if they leave it up to sprint I will have to get the 900. Even though I personally don't like the physical keyboard. I guess I'll have to get the s50 and see how the month goes and get some info on java developers future with brew 4.0. If the future is grim, then......

900 it is.

Virtual keyboard for Android: http://www.cnet.com/8301-19736_1-10308610-251.html

I too prefer the virtual keyboard.  I'll be getting one of these phones for sure, but I'll have to wait for some "hands-on" before choosing.  Maybe World 1-1 can provide some input: pros, cons, etc...

It's kinda long and drawn out, but it's got a lot of info from World 1-1 in it.

Yeah, I've definitely been keeping up with the thread.  I was just wishing for something more in depth (yeah, patience, I know World 1-1 only recently acquired the m900).

As of now, I'm leaning toward the m900 based solely on Android (real app support including virtual keyboard).  I don't really care if the camera's only 3mp--my life isn't really exciting enough to need a high quality camera on my person at all times.  In the event that I need to record something at a moment's notice, 3mp is enough.  For all other times, I own a real digital camera.

I've gotta say that I hate real keyboards.  My wife's got a Rumor and I can stand typing on hers.
