This phone was passed by the FCC friday... No pics, but do you think it could be the instinct 2? Or Instinct Mini?

Model - SPH-M810
Air Interfaces - PCS, CDMA
Radio Services - PCS, CDMA, EV-DO
Key Features - Bluetooth, MP3 Player, SMS

So what do you think?

Definitely just another Media phone. Not the kind of thing that your cell phone junkie would buy I think. Cool info though. Kinda peeks my interest as to whether it will be touch screen. Wow its amazing that most people have a touch-screen phone these days.

Weird.

EVDO-reve doesn't exist...

There are EVDO, then there is EVDO Rev. 0, then Rev. A and Rev. B
Our current Instint is using Rev A. but this new device doesnt seem to have the space to include the radio for a 3G speed... so if is just EVDO, it is probably going to be a smaller device than the current Instinct...

Samsung Instinct Mini May Debut this Spring
BY: Ed Hardy, Brighthand.com Editor
PUBLISHED: 2/11/2009

A smaller, thinner version of the Samsung Instinct is reportedly going to be introduced in the next few months.

Like its predecessor, this is expected to be a touchscreen-oriented device that offers all the features people have come to expect from a high-end phone, including a web browser, 3G, email, a GPS receiver, and more.

According to an unconfirmed report, the Samsung Instinct Mini will debut from Sprint on April 19, and come in two color options: copper and graphite.

No information is available on the size of this upcoming model, but it will clearly be smaller than its predecessor: 4.6 inches by 2.2 inches by 0.5 inches.

Although the Instinct Mini will supposedly support Sprint's EV-DO service, this will be Rev 0, not the faster Rev. A.

It will supposedly be an additional option for customers, not a replacement for the current model.

This model may be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress tradeshow, which starts next week in Barcelona.

I just dont get what a smaller version of the Instinct is suppose to accomplish. Why would the phone need to be smaller, its current form is not a problem, at least imo anyway.

They are trying to slowly get customers to have more high end phones so that the ones that buy the s***ty $0 phones will stop complaining about all of the defects.
