I posted this in the How-To's section, but I guess it is needed here, since I have seen some people have trouble getting different formats converted for the Instinct.
Now, I know there are several guides here for putting video on the Instinct.
MykeHype has one, but I was only able to get it to convert .avi files. So, after looking around I found Any Video Converter.
I know
King3vil just posted a
video tuturial using Any Video Converter, and I would like to make it know I am not stealing his info, and I have been using this program for quiet awhile...I would not be posting this if it wasn't for the fact I had a very hard time viewing his video (distortion).
And on to the guide.
First of all, head over to
http://www.any-video-converter.com/products/for_video_free/ (or
http://www.any-video-converter.com/products/for_mac/index.php for Mac) and download Any Video Converter. The main reason I turned to this program was it converted any file type...Unlike Videora only converting .avi .
After installing the program, open it up and you will be greeted with this:

The first thing you will do is Add some Video. Click the Add Video button near the top:

And go ahead and locate the files you want converted. You can select as many as you want...The more you select the longer it will take. I usually throw a batch on before I leave the house, and have them done when I get home.
Now we need to change some settings. Over on the right hand side of the program you will find this:

Make sure it says "Mobile Phone MPEG-4 Movie". To be honest, you dont
need it to, but it helps...Since the program saves the changes you make to the settings, so for now on, the "Mobile Phone MPEG-4 Movie" will be for your Instinct.
The right below it is this:

Set it to what you see in the image above. Those are the setting that I find to produce good quality, and moderate file size. I get about 3 minutes of good quality video, for 20mb...If you find this to be too big of a file, set the "
Video Bitrate" lower, to something like 384 kbps.
Now just click the Encode button:

And give it some time. When it is all done, if your volume is on, you will hear a ding, and there will be a popup about buying the pro version or something, click no thanks, find your video, and put it in the MEDIA folder on your Instinct.
Another cool thing, you can make folders in your MEDIA folder, and it will show on the Instinct when selecting video's.
And if you would like to download a video from Youtube, continue on.
YoutubeIt is pretty simple to download, and convert a video from Youtube. First, find the URL of the video you would like.
Then in Any Video Converter click the Youtube icon, and paste in the URL('s (you can do more then one if you would like)).
Make sure all the setting on the right are how they should be (Look at the Image above)
Click Encode
And it will ding, just like if you were to convert any other video.

If you have any setting recommendations, let me know, if there is a better setting I will be glad to change the guide!
