I am trying to transfer the digital copy of Wall-E to my phone, but it keeps saying "cannot transfer protected media" - I have the code and have the thing transfered to my PC and can play it (both large format and mobile format) - I can even play it in the Sprint Media Manager - but when I drag it over to copy to the phone it says nope..... Thanks

If your using a dvd, you can't transfer it that way, you need to make a copy of the dvd using a decrypter like dvd43 which removes the copywrite info(for a back up copy) then transfer it to the phone.

if your new at this, reference this link:
http://www.instinct-samsung.com/samsung-instinct-tricks-and-tips/getting-a-dvd-from-your-collection-to-play-on-your-instinct/
If your using a sd adapter, you might need to unlock it ( its on the side of the adapter )
Anyways, good luck and welcome aboard Cheesy

I think he's talking about the Digital Copy thats coming with the newer DVDs . They say we can download them to a Devise .

OP have you tried to just DRag it into the Media folder when your Instinct is pluged into the computer.

It should see it as just a drive and maybe that will work.

I thought you were joking about the SD card lock - it is a micro SD card - so I don't guess you can lock it can you?? - anyway copied the Mobile video wma file onto the card so it is not locked - but it would not play on the phone - I guess the video has to be converted to something else first - I have a program that does that with DVD, but the quality kind of sucks sometimes - I was hoping to be able to put the unconverted video on - it looked really good - oh well.... kind of sucks to pay extra for a digital copy that I can put on my PC, but I can get it on my phone - at least in that format... thanks for the advice

thanks INP - yes it is a new DVD - but it was a brand new SD card and the file was all alone - no media folder - I'm going to try dragging some music over as see what folder it creates for that - then maybe I can put the copy in that folder and it will work

try a program that converts a dvd to psp (mp4 format)....looks great on our phones....
and I was talking about the lock on the adapter for the sd, not the micro sd itself, lol

I am using CuCusoft DVD to Zune, but looking at it it has a setting for Zune video .mp4 - if I do that conversion can I just put it in the media folder on the Micro card or do I have to convert in Sprint Media manager? - thanks

media folder......media manager sux imo...
I don't know what Zune is, but psp size fills up the whole screen, even leaving the option to toggle the viewing size during playback..
