i cant seem to find a 3rd party encoder that converts .avi to mp4 in 240x432 format.  most encoding softwares that i've encounter have a drop down menu with preset settings for different devices like pda or psp and it does not allow you to enter your custom resolution setting.

i have used the samsung's included media manager, but it is too slow in converting a file.  also, on one of the movies, it did not encode sound for some reason.

anyone using a speedy 3rd party software that has customizable resolution setting for instinct?  if not, what setting do you use to convert movies for instinct?  320x240(pda)??

I just checked mine ( Plato) and it just uses presets. I use the PSP mode and it's fine.

I wounder if I go bigger and convert then use SMM ,if it will speed that up and still size it correctly

Did you look through the forums?  Not only has your question been asked and answered already (multiple times) - but the answer you wanted is given in step by step directions found in the second pinned thread at the top of this topic, including what software to use.
