i've been having some difficulties getting my videos onto the phone, and i've had an even harder time trying to look up information on the instinct's player.

exactly which formats will it read?
where (in the micro sd's file structure) should the videos go?

thanks,
-k

Formats:   3g2 and mp4
Drop them into the Media folder

If you use the Sprint Media Manager it will convert your video and put it where it needs to go, though it is very slow.

My Media Manager readily recognized an mp4 and transferred it to my phone.

But, since you already have it in mp4 format the simplest way to get it to your card is to pop out the card and use your PC to drop the file into the Media folder.

yeah, tried that too.. it doesn't recognize one at all, and the other, well it just does the spinning circle for 10 minutes, before it gives up.

Will they play on the computer?  They probably aren't the right format, or corrupted.

Owner's manual.....around page 182, or 184 I think.

The Canadian version of the instinct is different from ours. Have you checked out the Canadian section? You might find some answers in there.
