Yep, it seems that after an hour or so, Pandora locks up and the phone does some kind of reset. I know this because I get the "Entering Sprint Service Area" message. Also, when I try and exist from the application, the phone often locks up or it takes more than a minute to go back to the main screen.

You did dude, thanks. It just keep spitting back the error I posted. Will try and re-install using your latest post and see what I see. Could be because I am with Bell and it doesn't work through my network...

ARGH: Still getting the same error...

It's gotta be a Bell thing...I've uninstalled/reinstalled a couple times and it's worked each time.

Besides, I've NEVER seen an error message like that.

Yea, i get the same thing. Not when it's playing, but when i exit, it takes a few seconds, and the appears to reset the phone. Nothing to big a deal..bit a pain none the less.

All else is great with it, do wish the volume was a bit louder when hooking up headphones, earbuds, or even jacked into a stereo unit.

Could this be the problem?  Found on www.pandora.com FAQ.

Q: Why does Pandora time-out after 1 hour?

Pandora will time-out after one hour without the Pandora Tuner receiving any input (giving a "Thumbs Up" or "Thumbs Down," changing to another station, skipping a song, pausing and resuming a song, changing the volume, or any other interaction on our homepage).

At this point, you need only click the "I'm still listening" button to resume the music.

You can subscribe to extend the time-out interval to five hours.

In either case, this time-out occurs for several reasons:

* To prevent having to pay royalties on songs which are not being heard. Licensing is one of the most expensive aspects of providing the service.

* To reduce unnecessary bandwidth load on our servers for songs which are not being heard. Bandwidth is one of the other significant costs of providing the service.

* To promote an interactive listening and music discovery experience. Pandora shines best when you tell us what you like!

Anyone know if this sound issue has been resolved?

PS.  I have searched and also have good headphones.  I am just curious if there was an update on the volume issue that mike @ pandora posted about in Jan.

I have three pairs of headphones that I use with Pandora and they all work great except for the Brookstone ones. I never had a problem hearing with the Brookstone headphones before Pandora. My point is, headphones that are "good" with other applications may not be so good with Pandora. With my other headphones, I even listen to Pandora when I am mowing the grass and I can hear it fine.

Yes, I also want to know when they get the volume problem taken care of. Then I will be able to listen to it everywhere, not just in our one car ( new stereo with power amp)

When I get a text message while listening to Pandora, the music stops and I have to completely restart Pandora, which is a huge pain. Does anyone know how to turn off text messages (I don't think you can) or how to eliminate this problem?

Oh Thank God! Pandora is working again. It has been on the fritz for the past two days. I got a message yesterday saying they were having trouble connecting to the Sprint servers. My universe has just improved 100%!

I use Phillips headphones personally, they work really well and are virtual surround. (and semi-noise cancelling)

Pandora's been great, my only disappointment is not being able to customize the QuickMix station like you can on the full site...

I've noticed the "lock up and reset" thing happening after closing Pandora as well...so far, though, it doesn't happen if I actually close Pandora through its menu, instead of using the 'back' or 'home' keys.

Does anyone know if Pandora will work over A2DP? I mean, technically, I know it's streaming, but I thought maybe since it runs as its own app there was a chance. I have a Motorola T505 on order, but I just downloaded the free Pandora app today and won't get to test the two together for awhile.

Nope. Sorry.
