I found success using stephen lynch, pablo francisco, mitch hedberg, blue collar...etc. Unfortunately you'll only get the major stand up/comedy songs (it is a music player)...

I tried Mitch Hedberg (from my phone) and only got some tribute station playing really crappy music.  I've only been making staions from my phone though.  I'll try on the real site and see if I can fine-tune a little more.  Thanks for the help, but if anyone knows of anything that's dedicated stand-up, please let me know.  I'm not looking for comedy music like Weird Al or anything like that.  More like David Cross, Mitch Hedberg, Jim Gaffigan, Ron White, Richard Pryor, etc...

**UPDATE on volume issue**

Hi,

Thanks for checking in again.  The current Instinct build does have trouble with the volume control for some people.

The good news is that we have been given the go-ahead to rework the Instinct application to make it work better. That will include using the full qwerty keyboard to have better control over the audio level.

Now the bad news. The reworked Instinct application will take several months to complete. Until then the best advise I can give is as follows:

1) Play some other audio (such as a locally stored MP3) on the Instinct and move the volume control all the way up. Then stop playing that file and launch Pandora. This will give you the maximum volume the device can put out using the Pandora application.

2) Use some really efficient (read "loud") earbuds. Two of my favorites are the J-BudsJ2 http://www.amazon.com/JBuds-Premium-Hi-FI-Isolating-Earbuds/dp/B001GS8FZ2/ref=pd_bbs_sr_2?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1229216015&sr=8-2

and the Philips He591
http://www.amazon.com/Philips-HE591-Surround-Sound-Earbuds/dp/B0001OY2VS/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1229216142&sr=1-5

Read the Amazon reviews on both of these, pick one or both and give em a try on your Instinct.

Hope this helps.  Thanks again.

Best,

2 months, no big deal. I will happily wait it out if one day down the road it works as it should. I keep telling myself "it's only a phone". And much appriciation to those at pandora for keeping us informed. This will be great.

Hey Mike! What about us Canadian's?! (Bell in this case?) Will Pandora work for us someday? Or is that an issue to take up with Bell?

Go to your Fun tab, then Shopping. Then search around. It's in there. I can't say exactly where because my Shopping icon has never worked.

To get Pandora for your phone, log in to sprint.com and go to the Digital Lounge. Applications: Sports & Fun> TV, Music & Mov...> Music & Radio > Pandora.  It is free.

I've been using pandora for over a month and I love it. It is free and it's more stable than Sprint's Streaming Radio.

Sprint's Streaming Radio constantly cuts out, or sounds like crap. So I've opted to use pandora.

Granted there is the volume problem with pandora on the Instinct but I have sony headphones and it's definately loud enough that I don't hurt my ears.

I do have one problem I've noticed within the last 1.5 weeks. I'll play pandora and after about 1 to 2 hours, I get disconnected and I get the message "Entering Sprint Service Area".

I used to be able to listen all day at work. I think sprint is kicking my connection. I'm at work, I have full bars, we have a Sprint antennae booster so I know I'm not losing signal.

Wish I had a packet sniffer on my phone to see what Sprint is doing and why I'm getting disconnected.

Has anyone else seen this happening has of late?

I think Pandora's network just gets too congested at times, this same thing happens to me occasionally.  I usually just give it 20 minutes or so and then start the app up again.

Some days it works great all day long, sometimes I have issues every couple of hours or so.

Have the app now thanks to 'a friend' and all I ever get is an error.

Any insights?
