My task was a bit different. I am a music producer and I already properly tagged the songs I created with custom artwork. Worked great in ALL media players, including iTunes and even my Old Samsung Freeform displayed the 640x640 album art (of course scaled down, but it shows!)

However on the Samsung Instinct it does not show the artwork, however when browsing through windows explorer within the Instincts MUSIC folder the artwork shows as Thumbnails but not in the actual player.

I only did one step: Use the Sanse MP3 Art Sizer by opening it and browsing to the files I wanted on the phone while plugged in USB and converted them on the phone without moving them to the computer. Once done, opened the phone's player and the artwork was there.

Only need to do 1 extremely simple step for files already tagged with ID3 info and artwork (just resize artwork 250x250 and re-open player...that's all...or it is the same process as taking the card out and doing it that way...I just did not have to move anything back and forth. It was easier to just edit on the card and leave the music where it is...the cache should have nothing to do with it because the phone updates it's database when changes are made.)

Nonetheless, THANKS...MP3 Art Sizer saved the day!

Lol! These posts are rather yesteryear *blank stare* and now in 2012 this bug remains unfixed *shrugs!* No matter what programming language used it should not be so difficult to write a conditional statement that checks for art size via the album art id3 attribute and if($too large) scale down else if ($too small) scale up else there is no artwork and do nothing.
