Hello,
I am having an issue with mp3 playback. I have a an mp3 file that is about 3 and a half hours long. Sometimes when I pause it, it will start from the beginning when I press play and it won't allow me to fast forward to where I was. It sometimes happens when I am about 2 hours in. I try to fast forward and it just goes back to the beginning or maybe 15 or 30 minutes in. I tried the file on my iPod and it works fine so its not the file itself. Any suggestions? I can deal with it starting over from the beginning but its frustrating that I cant fast forward to where I was.
Thanks in advance for the help.

Did you try using the little time bar above the "Previous, Play, Next" buttons?

You can just drag that little bar to go to the time of which you want it to play.

This does not work on long files.

Have you ever considered making that 3 hour+ file into seperates?
So you have many parts of it instead of one long one.

Mine does this too, and it's so frustrating!  I really wish it could just fast forward like any normal player.  I'll be watching this thread to see if theres a fix.

fyi...Yes, I've grabbed the little bar at the top, but it only goes about 30 minutes in.

You can try my way of splitting the MP3 file into many parts.

If you just do a google search on something like "mp3 file splitter" few results will pop up.

I tried the first link and it seemed pretty good.
I can't tell you the exact address due to rules but try it out, and tell me if it works or not.

I have same problem.  Will check out mp3 file splitter, but hope somebody comes up with a fix for this.

This has been a problem since day 1. Anything longer than maybe an hour wont cue beyond maybe 30 minutes in. I find that the ff/rev controls on my stereo bluetooth headset sometimes works, but not always.

The music player blows. I use a program simply called MP3 Splitter to cut down my long mp3's into segments no longer than 30-35 minutes, and that circumvents the problem.

What irritates me is this is something Sprint should have been aware of for a long time, and has done nothing to fix it.

Pretty much the story of the Instinct. There's several little problems like the skipping ahead on long mp3s and adjusting the max volume level that probably wouldn't take Sprint's people much time to tweak and fix, but Sprint just doesn't seem to give a crap.
