Hey guys, im new here. I recently traded my hero for the instinct hd. The hero is a great phone but i hardly used half the stuff on there. I wanted a simple touch phone with nice features and thats exactly what the instinct hd is. I had the orginal instinct last year and the hd is a big improvement. I dont know why there is so many bad reviews for this phone. You can't put it up against smartphones but for a feature phone its on the top of all other feature phones. The only thing i notice so far is a slight lag while making transitions from the menus, is there a fix coming for that??? Do you guys have any cool tips for me? is there a limit on how many notes you enter in?

Is it too late for you to wait for the Evo 4G (jk). I don't think i've found the notes limit yet. Of course everytime I get a lot in, I end up having to have the phone replaced.
The camera is fairly amazing and in fact I captured my little girl's choir concert on it and it sounded and looked great on the big screen via the optional HDMI cable.

The calculator is pretty cool. Turn the phone on it's side and watch it turn into a scientific calculator.

I created a Google email account and when I added it to the phone's email program, it automatically created a Google calendar. If I put notifications into the Google calendar online, they sync to the one on my phone. Very cool I think.

I'm still impressed with how much you can do on the Opera Mobile browser. It's pretty darn good at letting you surf the web much like you'd do at home. One particularly slow month at work I managed to wrack up nearly 5 gigs of data usage just surfing the web on the phone.

The navigation is improved in that if you turn the phone on it's side, it presents you with a widescreen view of the navigation program. Along with that, the external speaker is ridiculously loud and clear.

Instinct HD

Guess I was in a hurry to jump to the EVOlution of cellphones, but then a guy at work asked with as much as I use my phone for this and that, did I really need the next big thing?..." Don't you have that already? " he asked.  As much as we all pushed for the upgrades the Instinct HD inevitably ended up with, I'd have to say YES, I do have that.

The performance isn't as fast in response at times, and it's not perfect, but I've definatly voiced this phone's imperfections to the people responsible for improving such setbacks.  I know these " vendor " issues will be resolved, then all will be good for the owners of this remarkable phone.

Thousands of videos and pics taken to date. Hundreds of movies played from my phone to my HDTV...Always surfing the web when I'm out and about, jamming my tunes daily, easiest navigation whenever I'm off track, few good games to pass time, and an extended life battery for days when I use this phone more than normal...  Yeah, I already have that.

I liked the original Instinct phone, and with this phone, my attitude about this line of phones has only improved

This forum has slowed with all the newest Android phones ruling the market, and in time I'll probably join the party...

But seriously...I'm in no hurry...My Instinct HD will suit me just fine for a long time to come
