Never tried either of those sites for ringers on the HD, freeringers.net works no problem, but I'm a lifetime member ( lucky timing ) and it's perfect for custom made ringers, wallpapers....have you tried 3gforfree.com?

It looks like myxer.com stopped working after the update.  Does freeringer.net and 3gforfree work after the update?

Hey,

3gforfree.com does work for the HD. I have used it. You must register your phone as the original Instinct and can only upload MP3s.

ventones.com works also. I am bummed about myxer because you could make adjustments to the ringer if you wanted

I use Audacity. It is a free download and can edit any sound file. You can cut, paste etc and make whatever part of the file you want as your ringtone and then upload it. I am not an audio guy but I figured it out in about 10 minutes. Here is the link:

As an alternative to Audacity you can try online editor. Audacity is overkill for such a simple task.

hey all....thanks for the responses....so this is the dealio....I apparently can only use "qcp?" files for ringtones....that's the qualcom proprietary file extension ? (I believe (:  )...I'm not even gonna waste my time trying to figure out why...so,after I figured that out....all is right....got all the ringtones I want....

All of my ringtones are MP3 and sound great.  QCP ringtones sound horrible on this phone.

Hey BB...you ever figure it out?
m..y..x..e..r.. let's you save the ringers to your computer.
( sorry about the 3gpforfree site, didn't know they changed it up )
then you could try the focus uploader to see if it'll transfer
( dunno, haven't tried it myself )

After several attempts I can now load MP3 from my PC to my phone... Cheesy  I haven't been able to set them as ring-tones.  Someone above mentioned they were able to set their MP3 as ring-tones.

Can you set MP3 that are stored in you Music folder as ring-tones and if so how?  Do I need to move then to a different folder.
