Deleting an email account

I added an email account to get the Google calendar. Does anyone know how to remove an account from the email account once it has been synced to the phone without deleting the email account itself?

Go to the Email Home Page--click the gears to the right of the account in question and then once that takes you to the next screen you will see a garbage can in the top right corner. Hit that, confirm deletion and that should do it.
