Wow...this should be the o.s. with no issues. Have you tried powering off the computer, then plug in, and start your computer to see if it reads? Make sure your sd is in the phone. Unless your behind on updates, I couldn't fathom why your computer wont read...

I cant figure it out either. I'll try resetting but I dont think it will help. Anyway as a temporary fix I'm usin a card reader. You can just drag and drop music and pics (and really anything) into the right folders and the stick the card back into the phone. Its gets annoying bec. you gotta power down, remove the battery and then power up (wich still takes a while post updae). So I'm still hoping that we'll be able to figure this out.

BTW I am fully caught up in regards to software updates so that shouldnt be the issue.

try using the " add new hardware wizard "  on your computer.  My wife's computer is xp, I'll chk in the morning and see what route you need to take..shouldn't be too difficult..least I hope not, I'm pretty good with computer stuff

So, guess I'm not any much help after all.
Hooked up the phone to my wife's xp, and instantly " found new hardware " popped up and installed whatever it needed to automatically. then when I selected connect to computer the " found new hardware/storage device " pops up and installs what it needed to, and my phone showed up under " my computer " as an extra drive
Same thing with my other two computers, so?  I'm as lost as you guys if your computer isn't doing just this...
You can try going through your device manager in the control panel and at the top of the list that shows you can ' right-click ' and ' scan for hardware changes ' and see if that helps any...wish I could help more, but mine worked....good luck to you
