Sending Picture Email Takes Forever!

I just upgraded from an S30 to the Instinct HD. Same problem with sending out a photo that I just took with the camera. It can sit there in the list with a Pending status for hours. It might go, or it might fail. I always have several bars, and I can get email and phone service just fine. Any ideas?
