Hey guys! Big news! I just got off the phone with Sprint (had some random account issue). At the end of the call she told me that I'm eligable for a $70 credit on my phone if I renew my contract. Well, I'm also eligable for an upgrade and I've been holding out for the m850/s50 so I asked her if renewing my contract would impact my upgrade eligablity. She told me no it wouldn't impact anything. She then (for some reason) asked me if there is any phone that I'm looking at to get. Sorry that I'm rambling here... So I told her that I know that there is this new phone coming out soon called the m850 and I would like to get that when is comes out. She seemed helpful so I asked her if she knew when its suppose to be released and she tells me "One minuet" and I hear her click-clacking on the keyboard. After about 15 seconds she gets back on and says "Sep. 8 is the schedualed release date for the s50." She then asked me if I were to recieve a phone call about her service would I say that she provided good care, and I'm thinking "Heck Yeah! Thats the most useful CS call I ever made!"

So just to recap: According to a Sprint Rep (call was placed 12pm Aug 10 EST) The s50 will be released on September 8!    Grin

BTW she specificly called it the s50. So it looks like thats the name its gonna have. Personaly I liked Duece better but thats just me....

This is great news for all the people waiting for the s50. World 1-1 said on the instinct q thread that they fixed the gps problem already too.

Look on page 3 and 4 of the instinctQ discussion thread.

Looks like the same UI.  As much as I love my instinct ( I ditched WinMo for it) it is getting outdated and needs a little sprucing up.

Just some color changes, maybe an option to set it as list instead of thumbnails...

there will need to be significant customization options of the UI and the Java VM will have to be implemented properly (allowing ALL touchscreen capable java apps to be used) before i will touch it

I think you and them are confused. There are two instinct phones coming out. World 1-1 already told us the SECOND instinct phone the one coming out Sept 8th will be called the Instinct Deuce/S50/M850 There is a Instinct Q coming out that will be android and possibly even have a dedicated graphics processing unit made by NVidia which would DEFINATELY be able to process/record/view/encode HD content. So the one they are thinking about or was TIPPED about has more of a chance of it being the Instinct Q then the Deuce!

No, phonearena is right, the s50 has been reported as having a mini hdmi jack on it which of course would make sense now since it would output HD video
