It's not much, but at least it says "HD"

I was just at Best Buy and they had a flyer on the counter that said "ask sales associate about the samsung HD" and it had a picture of the HD on it.  Of course there was 1 associate only and he was talking with someone so i didn't ask him, but i would pretty much bet it will be annouced tomorrow the HD will be out, especially if Best Buy is already marketing it!  On a side note, I did hear the rep at best buy say there have been no pre-orders for the Hero which I thought was pretty interesting.  The rep was pushing it asking the buyer if he wanted to get signed up and that it would be $50 but you would get that refunded on your bill.

see the other instinctHD posts.  I have already talked to the reps at best buy.  the advertised deal was supposed to run from august 26-sept26 (or 28?), it was postponed from the 26 (or 28) until the 3rd, and then postponed again but no set date this time.  rep said it should be this month but doesn't know when, he also was trying to push the Hero pre-order as well as the new blackberry that is coming out next month (around the time of the IQ), btw, they have a poster of the IQ in the store, but it was back behind 3 or 4 other posters that he said it wouldn't be showing for at least another month if not month and half.

sprint sales reps know NOTHING about the HD, they always think you're talking about the s30.  unlike the original instinct, which I was let known about about 3 months prior to its launch, the HD is being kept from everyone.  the techs actually know a thing or 2, but its tough to get to talk to one.  the tech told me it was supposed to be launched the 3rd at bestbuy and the 8th at sprint store, but it got postponed.  he said it will mostly come out this month, but he also thought it would've come out in August, so no guaranties.  he also said the IQ wouldn't launch until a good month after the HD, so most likely after the Hero's debut.

according to bestbuy, its supposed to be a bestbuy exclusive phone, according to sprint tech, apparently only a week long exclusive.

I'll bet money the announcement tomorrow is about the price cut of the Pre, going from $199 to $149.

seems like if it's to premire customer first might just be something with the  service plan..but who know......

It was nice to talk to a rep and also read the fine print of the any mobile feature detail to find out that all the plans $69.99 + will automatically get the feature add on next billing cycle. So even the $69.99/mo. everything data plan qualifies, and as an existing customer I don't have to do anything! Now I have more anytime minutes that wont be used. LOL.

Hey World1-1....if your still around, maybe you could answer a question about the Opera Mobile web browser.  When browsing the web, can it be done in both portrait and landscape mode?  Question has popped up on a few forums, and noticed you said that opening pictures kicked in the accelerometer, just wondered if it was the same for browsing...

I talked to someone at my Best Buy, and he just said that the Sprint rep told him they would definitely have it by the end of the month. So it sounds like everyone's predictions of Sept 27th could be right.
