The M800 would lock you out of almost everything when the battery indicator went to red. I've noticed so far that the M850 will still allow you to surf the web with the indicator flashing red at you and issuing audible alerts.

I dont have an instinct hd...but you said that in the original it would lock you out....well when my battery is red i can still surf on the default browser....so maybe it doesn't lock u out of the default browser....try running other apps in the red on the HD....ur right about the rest of the other apps on the original.

Good point! Since Opera Mobile is the default browser, perhaps it's designed not to lock you out of it when the battery is low. I imagine if I loaded Opera Mini it would probably kick me out. I couldn't access any of the other pre-loaded apps on the phone other than the browser though.

So i guess we got our answer....I do love that opera mobile is the default....I hope the HD can run more then just 2 apps at the same time ya know? Anyone who finds that out for me can possible make me consider the HD...But find out if it kicks you out of the Camera, Videos, stops your music...If it does its basically set up like our original.
