Phonearea.com seen the device, and many indications have pointed to an eventual release, but this is the first hard date we've seen.  Other devices slated for that day are low end models from Samsung, a color refresh of the Rumor2 and the Instinct s50, previously known as the Dash.  We still have little info on this new Instinct, but it looks like Sept 3 is shaping up to be a good day for Sprint users.

My deal is this. All these people are being dooped right back into a brew based phone just because of a 5 mp camera. EVERYTHING else the Instinct Q will have. Yes alot of people dont want a physical keyboard but id rather have a slide out keyboard with a beast of an OS (World 1-1's words about the OS being a beast) then another Instinct like mine promised to have loads of apps and loads of this and loads of that and Sprint never come through. I go get the Q today (if it were available) and i already have twice as many applications then i have now and I have alot! Android, Winmo, and Mac/Web OS is BOSS mobile operating systems!

EDIT: PLUS the phones UI on the phone area page i saw did look like our ugly UI. Same black/carbon fiber look. Doesn't look like you can customise at all. So be ready to answer S50 users when they ask "How do i upload my own background picture?". "Oh you cant. Sorry"

As far as the backgroung thing goes, a few of the pics World1-1 posted had a pic as the background.  The list of icons and menu items were transparent so that you could see it.

If he asked me why i was grumpy in the other thread of where this was repeated from then it wouldn't have been repeated in this thread. Yet he didn't read my post in the other thread. The background image is just one question that will keep getting asked not all the other ones. Yes it is just my opinion. So take it as such.

lets be honest if this phone was something so great we would hear alot more about it like the pre,htc hero and so forth and as long as the OS is not on the same level with all the other high end phones it will not be able to compete...

I have to agree.  We did hear alot about pre, hero and other high end phones months before they were released.  Just another sign that sprint is clueless.
