How about an app that let's me broadcast my Wifi signal to other devices such as my Ipod? Apparently, there is one for the HTC Pro.

I've been getting pretty lax lately and it's starting to show. This post has nothing to do with this thread.  Please.  KEEP ON TOPIC!

I said it before. If you want Apps Android, Winmo, Leopard, Palm. Plain and Simple. Android is the fasting growing OS for phones. 10,000 already. Im not bashing the HD in this situation just the request for an app when if your main desire for a phone is for apps.

As I have stated in several places on this forum, my desire is that my phone function as a phone. Then, there are some other things that I want and, after having owned the original Instinct from the beginning up until a few days ago, I am fully and completely aware that this phone is not going to have a lot of apps for any number of reasons. That is but one reason, I spent the cash to purchase an Ipod Touch. That having been said, the fact that I request 1 app for this phone, from a group of people who might have the capabilities to make said app, does not, in any way indicate apps are my "main desire".  If you look at the number of posts that I have made on this forum, you will see that I have mentioned a desire for apps, well  maybe one time in more than a year. You will also see that I have rarely contributed to those discussion. In conclusion, I would like to thank you for your exceptionally misdirected opinion as well as your desire to believe that what you post here is what I use to guide my questions and requests.

and obviously you failed at reading what I said. I not ONCE used your name in my post. I also stated IF your main desire was apps. I wasn't directing that towards you but towards the TOPIC. I kept it generalized. Im sorry if you took that as i diss towards you but i was aiming at the general topic. Thanks

Im just saying what i said because if you dont want apps maybe one or two apps total the HD isn't that bad of a choice. For 200 it is, and with all the current problems it is for 200 dollars. HOWEVER if you want apps its a horrible idea for people to make 20 app requests for a phone that wasn't designed for it. The HD is STILL a dumbphone and sprint STILL labelled it as a smartphone. I will consider the HD more when i have the Hero and IQ in front of me. I may start with the IQ because of the IQ...Im a sucker for a good screen. The IQ is supposed to have the light sensor with the AMOLED screen which is supposed to give u amazing battery life. The hero is a beast from what ive seen. The Hero is 179 BEFORE rebates from what the instore sprint rep told me. So 200 vs 179.....hmmm ya know? Thats all

Oh I know, I'm just cranky....and you were in the right place at the right time....I couldn't tell my boss to suck it:( But yeah, you are absolutely right, the HD is never going to be driven by apps. I wanted the Hero too but I'm just not impressed by their existing app store. I figure I'll wait a year and then I will move over to Android. I look forward to your feedback on the phone that you get.

I just have to ask what is not impressive about 10000 apps of which a good deal are the same apps that are on the iphone. I can respect your opinion, but there are some really great apps for Android. Check out this site for a complete list of Android apps  http://www.androlib.com/

I think you guys missed the point.  All that was asked was how about an app for the HD.  Does everything have to turn into an android discussion?
