Hello Instinct HD owners,

I'm on the verge of buying an Instinct HD and have a burning question about whether or not I can listen to satellite or Internet-based radio on the phone.

I love ESPN Radio but my office blocks the web site (as they should) and I don't want to pay Sirius another $10/month just to listen to the radio at work.

Here is my question:

If I go to espnradio.com on the Instinct HD, can I listen to the streaming radio? If this is not an option, can I get Sirius Internet radio through the Instinct? I also understand Sirius is on the phone - but is it free, and can you get ESPN on it?

Thanks - I need questions like this answered before spending the cash!

espn, the mobile version is already on the phone...however typing in espnradio.com on opera mobile gave some choices on what to listen to, but not streaming....it gives a phone number link that you can press for whichever selection you make ( in my case it was sportscenter ) pressed the phone number on the website and called it...then I turned on my speaker, and listened to it for a while.
So...I think that's how it works on the HD

Hmmm, yes, I've seen that setup before on my current phone, and while it works, it eats up your minutes. Four hours of that a day would eat up my minutes in no time!

What does the mobile ESPN app included with the phone do for you? What is in it? Can you stream the radio with it?

Of course they have an iPhone app that streams 14 radio channels at once. But I don't want a damn iPhone.

Yeah, it's just an ESPN icon that opens with Opera Mobile...nothing fancy.
With Any Mobile added to our accounts I need to find SOMETHING to use my minutes up on, so this'll work for me Cheesy

Well, if I listened for an hour a day, 22 business days a month, that would be 1320 minutes. That would use it up real fast. Smiley

This sucks, though. I thought I would be able to get an app or something that would allow me to listen while at work, utilizing the "free" data stream. It appears as thought an iPhone would be the only thing to allow me to do this, unless I'm missing something.

From what I understand the Sirius channels on the phone don't include ESPN... can someone confirm?

Thanks for the link!

Also, after some more poking around, it looks as though you can stream real Sirius using ORB and uSirius. I'm not too familiar with it yet but others state they've gotten it to work. You need an "always on" PC with DSL/Cable connection but that isn't a problem for me.

EDIT: Looks like there are grumblings on the Internet that uSirius and uXM are dead (Sirius XM shut them down). So, I'm now thinking it just won't be possible to get this feed on the Instinct HD.
