Some contacts refuse to show up in (Messaging) area.

I know I saw this in another thread and tried to search for it to no avail. Funny how you'll overlook things til' they happen to you. So why do some contacts names appear with the text message and some don't? I have my theorys but would rather have your expert solutions. Thank you.

I believe the issue you are running into may have to do with not having 10 digit phone numbers(including area code) for those you wish to text.I ran into this problem on my last phone and it was solved by making sure I had the area code in there.Now I only add 10 digit numbers and have had no issues since.
