Hi, I've done some more development since my original post about buttons but I'm kind of stuck when it comes to this. I'm making a horizontaly slideable image.

Basically what I have now is an image painted to the display, then I have additional images painted on top of that one.

Ideally I would like to be able to group this whole thing together and slide it back and forth, thus allowing access to buttons that are off the screen.

I think I can update the buttons fairly easily and I have even gotten the images to move sideways depending on where it's pressed, But the problems Im facing is that I need it to slide smoothly back and forth as my finger moves, much like a safety slide button.

Does anyone have ideas on how I can accomplish this?

I'm not using anything fancy right now for my ui, no lwuit or anything like that. just the good old paint method.

Alright this is confusing me now... Is there some weird limitation on how many pictures can be drawn in my application? memory limitation? I keep running into an "Unhandled Exception" dialouge when I load up my application. Thinking it must have been one of the new wallpapers I added, I went and commented it out of my source. Reuploaded it to my phone, same issue. Jar file is roughly 1.6 megs in size.

Stepping back further to when it worked, I removed the wallpaper from the resources (jar file now is 1.2 megs) Uploaded to my phone it works fine.

All of it works fine when in the emulator so the only thing I can think of causing it is a memory limitation on the application. But before I launch the app I'm showing 23.5 megs FREE of 32.0

Further debugging it, I added the pictures and source back in and launched it with the memory viewer. The entire application only shows as running in 1.6 megs of space so what the heck is going on? I dont see any reason for this to throw an exception.
