I forgot to mention, in either case above, you could bypass the slide-to-unlock on the screen simply by hitting the home button (because apps can't read or capture home button presses).  That somewhat defeats the purpose of S2U as a mechanism to avoid accidental phone unlocking.

Heyyyy, there you go!!!

"H2UL" Home to unlock!  What a GREAT idea!  Someone make this app and make it free.  Can you do that NOW?  This phone sucks.  Who's getting a Pre???

Rlly you cant do this but i never done anything like this but cant u make it when u slide up it makes it think your pressing the button for however many seconds needed?Cause there has to be  like a action to let it know its beeen this many seconds and it should unlock?Just saying im probably wrong

I don't know s*** about developing or the anatomy of the Instinct, but it seems to me almost impossible. Isn't the lock screen locked until you hold the power button?

The app would both have to integrate the "slide to power" function and both unlock the touch screen. Seems like a heavy task. lol
