well if you dont mind i give it a shot get me the file and i will try it the only thing is that every time i try to do an update over the air i get an error 49156 saying that i have to call customer service is this continues to happen but i give it a shot if you get me the file....

Just wondering if you received the file and tested it??  I have been looking for the BK14 file too, but it seems to have cleared off the phone this time unlike the last updates.

I am not worried about "bricking" my phone as I am having it swapped in a couple weeks for Battery issues..

Sprint stores can update the firmware via direct connect USB. They could probably let someone know the name and location of the new firmware update file. I actually tried going there pretending like I was a sprint customer, but that didn't work out well.

We need someone at a Sprint store to tell us the name of the file, or place a copy of the file somewhere else so we can upload it.  Smiley

It doesn't work anyhow.... I did get an older update - MR4, but it bricks the phone basically.  It is the same software except the network references are all for Sprint, and I cannot get in any way to change them

It bricked your phone?

So your phone doesn't work anymore?

or did the update change your network back to Sprint?

It Bricked the phone, but it works....I backed everything up first.  So just reloaded it all, and it works fine...well...as fine as it was before...which is not great

Ya I wouldn't suggest putting Sprint's software on unless some major network changes were made to it. Any luck with the apps Sirsabre...Live Search?

Hi all,

I've just flashed my cellphone with the BF30 .bin file from sprint to give a try.  I've managed to get everything working, except for the internet part.

My question to you :

As I'm on the Bell' netwotk and Bell use a 32bits AAA password instead of a 16bits as Sprint does.  In the Sprint firmware, there seems to be a limit of 16 bits for that password so I can't enter my Bell one.  I've tried to see all the files with Bitpim to see if that password is stored somewhere but haven't found it yet.   Anyone have an Idea where that password is stored... or how to change the limit from 16 to 32 bits???

Thanks
