To be honest with you, if you don't know already what they are talking about it probably won't do any good. I have some background in programming and I still would be on shaky ground.

bogus? Bleh....

Ive reflash my current firmware MULTIPLE times with these(IE you can do BH29 on top of BH29 with no issues). I will attempt to record the process or something..

They are defiantly not bogus.

I think people were hoping to crack the secret LCDUI code. Why would you want to do a reflash when a hard reset will do something similar?

I can see some people replying have no clue what these files are or what we are talking about.

I myself cannot decrypt the firmware/bin or even modify it at all. Im simply saying these are the BIN files used to flash/update your device. These are OTA bin files/firmware.

Anyone can test without and real changes to the device(IE: you place 2 files on your phone. I use QPST file explorer) then reboot.

Once booted your phone will show a message CRITICAL update CANCEL / INSTALL

Installing just simply reinitialize/updates the device.

Files Included:

fumo_data.dat(file tells the device to FLASH[IE a bin is there alert the user])
http://rapidshare.com/files/152885886/fumo_data.dat.html

fumo_flash.bin (BH29)
http://rapidshare.com/files/152885887/fumo_flash.bin.html

Files to be placed in folder(I backed my fumo_data.dat up never needed it but always safe):
brew/mod/omadm

After copying files. I unplug the USB. Power off/on the phone.

Firmware Update

New software is ready to be installed.

critical issues

This will take 2 minutes to install. You will not be able to make or receive calls during this time.
Even emergency calls.

CANCEL / INSTALL

You can press cancel, remove the files and be back to normal(place your backed up fumo_data.dat back).

This just proves that the 2 people above claiming these are bogus are bogus.

I dont waste my time or others(please don't either).

Here are the fumo - BE06 to BF30 files for people that still have not done(or been able to)update yet.

PLEASE always make sure your battery is charged if your going to press install/update(as the device cannot stat the battery status and will just die mid update and you will be SOL[this is the same even if you were doing the update regularly]).

fumo_data.dat(file tells the device to FLASH[IE a bin is there alert the user])

When you flash, does it erase your contacts and stuff?

EDIT:
Everybody, i risked it, and it didnt work. i tried going from BH29 to BH30. Didnt break my phone, thank god.

I have to say, that is a good point! I think that some people had more problems after the updates. It's kind of a XP vs Vista thing. Sometimes the programmers think they are improving the program but they aren't for everyone.

The way I see it, if people want to downgrade their phone Mazel Tov!
