Hey guys, I'm just going to make this as short as possible. Do I have to pay anything to become a developer when i sign up on sprint's site? Or is it totally free?

Thanks.

curious you should say this KB....
The android market is full of Freebies, hundreds, even thousands...useful apps even...
isn't the android kit free too?
Or is it we just couldn't get enough free development like android?
What exactly makes this phone so hard to develop for...being I don't develop, and you do...maybe you can enlighten us Smiley

What I mean is you pay nothing to sign up on the developer site, and you get almost nothing in return where the Instinct is involved.  Little documentation, even less support.  They haven't even come out with Instinct HD documents or supported it in the toolkit.

It was a bad idea to come out with a phone that used a Sprint-specific non-standard Java implementation.  It was a worse idea to come out with that at the same time that Android, iPhone and WinMo devices were flourishing.  Who wants to develop for a proprietary device with bugs, minimal documentation and nearly non-existent support when those other choices have tons of documentation, tons of support, and tons of customers?  Mostly just people who bought one for whatever reason and wanted it to do things it couldn't; not commercial developers.

I have to agree with this - it's a good thing we enjoy a good challenge :-)
