I was wondering if anyone has had any extra charges added to their bill for using instinct as data modem, and I wanted to share my chat with a sprint representative via live chat. I thought it was kinda funny.

Me - Quick question. If I use my Instinct as a modem and currently have the unlimited vision data plan will I get extra charges for modem use?

Rep - I apologize for the inconvenience, however that device is not capable of that feature.

who do you recommend I ask about my cellphone bill? i've read nothing that says "do not do this". all they said was it wasn't supposed to do it.

The short answer - No, as far as I know, there aren't any extra charges.

The long answer - No, there aren't any extra charges.  Sprint can't specifically track how you're using the data portion of your phone at this time.  But, if sprint catches you doing it, they can terminate your contract and refuse you service.  So use it sparingly if you're going to use it at all.

P.S.  Search the forums for the word "Modem"  If you're looking for more information

well that stinks. there goes the only quick internet access I have at work. back to the slow mini-card.

P.S. you're right. I should have found the "all about modem" post. I can't believe I missed it.
