is there a way to use Samsung Instinct as Voice Recorder
so I can record my leactures in class,

You can record voice memos, but not a long lecture. Go to the visual voicemail, and click on the plus sign to create a new message. Enter your own number, and you can record a 2 min max voice memo to yourself.

May seem like overkill but i do all my voice memos with the camcorder... with a 2gb flash card i can record 8 hours of video... just a thought... if you really want the mp3 just use http://www.aoamedia.com/audioextractor.exe which is a freeware audio extractor program.

Great idea! I didn't even think of that. Video would be even better for my lectures anyway. Problem solved

right, and then we can go back to our candle lit rooms and type out notes on our typewriters and calculate math problems with our slide rules.

Why should anyone invest in a dead format? We all paid good money for a phone that should have this functionality built in.... or if not built in, readily available at an apps store.
