Hey hey! So I've had my phone since the say it came out, actually the day before it came out to be exact...and i STILL cannot get the media manager to work. I've read every single thread up here and then some, so all of you hard asses can carry that " USE THE SEARCH ENGINE BEFORE YOU POST" mess. I've managed to use my sd card slot in my laptop to get music on my phone but haven't been able to put videos up or anything. EVERYTIME i try and load sprint media manager it connects. Then my phone beeps and on my laptop it says something like "CHECK CONNECTION AND TRY AGAIN." If you are an expert on getting this to work will you please walk me through it as if i were a retard. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE! Grin

I can't get it to work either. I think its a driver issue but can't find drivers online to try?

I am no expert but rather just another retard like you. Just letting you know that my media manager does works fine while connecting through the usb cable. I'm sure that you've already tried to uninstall and reinstall the media manager and if that is the case then I would say that it  has something to do with your computer or usb port. But I hope someone else can help you and you can get it fixed. good luck

My phone works through my usb cord when I connect (sync) to windows media player.
But not when I try to sync to the samsung media manager.
I can not get past the activation point on the media manager.
I think it is some sort of a driver for the software not the phone.
I can connect the phone and get right to the micro 8gig card.
My computer recognizes the phone and also recognizes that it has a card inside the phone.
I don't know?
I will work on it later.
I'm a bit burnt out on trying to get it to work at the moment.
Thanks for the reply

mine dosnt work either. Nor do i have an option in my settings to turn on "connect to PC" my phone tries to see my computer but it just ends up using the usb for a charger. I kinda gave up on it. I ask random people at Sprint and Best Buy stores.. no one has figured it out yet.

I was told that mine won't work because I have 64 bit Vista. They told me then that some people have figured out a way. Basically...they hane no clue.  I have spent over two hours on the phone so far without help.  Current online version still doesn't work.  It won't activate but says there is a parameter error. Angry

You won't have a Connect to PC option -- that is only on the Canadian versions of the phone.

Concurrently, you do not need the Sprint Media Manager to put files on your phone.

To mount phone in your "My Computer" before connecting the usb cable from the computer to your phone, press the "Voice Dial" button first and let the Menu come up, next press and hold the Voice Dial button while you connect the usb cord to your phone. You should hear a confirmation tone on your PC.

For the record, this way to connect has been mentioned on the site.

Go into My Computer and your phone should appear as a Removable Disk.

You will find the SMM is not as quick as this connection. The only reason you would really need to use the SMM is to download music you've purchased on your phone to your PC.

Excellent instructions modelck. I would only add since he said walk him through it as if he was a retard so I will continue your post.

Once you have the window open. Drop the files into the video folder. I have found that MP4 and AVI seem to work with the phone. However, even then I still don't have 100% success rate.

If you need more instructions you might want to mosey on over to this:

Indeed kind sir, indeed.

I've found the SMM confoundly slow. Ideally, I would like to see the SMM rewritten or another 3rd party desktop application take it's place. It's just too slow. A direct connection is a much better option in the end, vababy22.
