I am asking for help to use Orb on my Instinct.  I have loaded Orb on computer and linking to mycast.orb/html/index/html per their links.
I can view photos, docks, but cannot stream audio.
Settings on phone are "320 kb/s fixed speed", 3GP Format (.sdp), settings on computer are also 3gp.

I see my phone offers choices, so since I can see other media from my phone, I know I am close.  I ran the test stream from Orb, it then questions if phone is compatible, but others say it does work on Instinct.

Can anyone help - give simple settings to make this happen?  I'm sure other new members will appreciate this detailed info.  This looks like an awesome program, and with playtime could make this phone do a lot that other "smartphones" do.

Thanks so much

You might try looking here...

There's some pretty good info in there that might help you out.

Thanks for pointing this out, I had seen this, hadn't read all the way to the end.

IT NOW WORKS!!

I had reset .3g but needed to change to suggested link on phone.

The audio is choppy, I suppose I need to tweak, which is scary, but SO close.  I'm not sure which speeds to change, Orb on computer or Orb on phone, but seems to be a great program.

Now I just need to figure out how to put XM on as favorite.  Those of you with XM, the computer log in is www.musicdock.com/mobile that does work, brings up site, but now to figure this out.

Also, there is info about how you cannot receive phone calls while on the net.  There is a tweak somewhere in there, regarding flipping dttp.  I just tested.  It does break the connection and allow incoming call, so now I can run my batteries down all day and miss no one.

If you get any better ideas to run this, add to this unless mod closes or read the above link and post to it.

I had the same problem with choppy audio. If you change the setting to 40 kb/s it should be fine.

I see two places to set it.  First screen with settings at bottom has the number 40, 80 . . .320.  Is this where you did it?  Or hit settings page, then "choose how to initizlize web speed?  where you can check used fixed speed of 320 (where I have mine set)

I set it on the first screen that comes up when opening Orb on the phone - where it shows the settings in a row. While streaming video though I use 320 and the sound is okay.

Thank you, I reset to 40 and it sounds great.

FYI, it sets this number on both pages.  I clicked 40 on front page, sets this number on second, so I saved.

Tried 80, started skipping more.  Do not understand these numbers on streaming, but who cares, it works.
