That's a good question.  I've just been holding it, or putting it on the seat.

Very low tech: I put two small velcro strips on the back of the phone and two on the middle of my steering wheel (was also able to match the color fairly closely). This not only gives me a great view of the GPS but lets me easily see who it is when I get a call. The velcro strips take up little room and the phone still slips neatly into the little right hand pocket on jeans.

Thats nice and all that,  but what if you need to charge at the same time?    my ciggie lighter is not even in a place that I could see my phone without taking my eyes far too far off the road.

If I didn't have a car charger already and a TomTom I would buy this to use with the instinct (and far cheaper too)

I have one of those rubber protective covers on my phone.. so I just place it in the dash between the top & bottom of my instrument cluster & it wedges in there perfectly... It's at perfect eye level also...
