A friend's Instinct won't start at all.  Yesterday, he did a software update, after receiving a pop-up message that one was available.

After the update his phone shows the "Instict" splash screen comes on, the load bar goes all the way to to the right, then the phone shuts down.  It then repeats the process.

We've tried removing the battery, plugging it into the computer, plugging in the charger...

Any suggestions, other than taking to a repair facility?

Take it in.  I think others have had the same problem . It corrupted when the Update went through.

Update:  He took the phone in and they gave him a refurbished unit.  He's trying to get a new one, now.
