i get an email about 3-4 times a week that has my grades, but it sends them as HTML attachments. it seems ironic that with a full browser available, it says there is no viewer for the HTML file. i guess this has something to do with the lack of HTML support in the email application.

is there a way around the email viewer where i could save the attachment and then open it in the browser?

My thought is if you sign into your email not through the phone's app but through the browser (e.g. I have Gmail so I would go to mail.google.com) and try opening the attachment through that. No promises but it is worth a shot.

Since I am a teacher, I can guess that whatever application or website is sending you these emails it often has the ability to send it to your email as either HTML or Plain Text. This is often in the options menu of whatever site you are using. If that is an option I would try that because our phones can definitely read that.

Hopefully with the update our supported file types will increase dramatically. Good luck and keep us posted.

Thanks. i also use gmail and this worked perfectly. i just can't wait for the MR-4 update so i can use the gmail application. i'll just link to mail.google.com on the favorites screen.

i'll also try the plain text option when i get back on my computer
