creating a wallpaper....well, maybe its a wallpaper?????

hi i am apparently very lost, but i am really frustrated and wondered if someone could help me. I was wondering if 'wallpaper' you are describing is n place of the favorites screen? I am able to get a pic uploaded to my display, but once i turn my phone on to use it, I only have the option of seeing that favorites grid menu style. I just want to be able to put a pic up...my friend says someone she knows was able to make a collage out of her photos and its on her phone instead of that favorites screen. Ok, Im hoping someone can help me here. Thank you!
