Hello all,
I've read several post on several forums about how people are having trouble removing the battery cover.  I can't say I shared that experience, but I attribute that to the fact that I owned the Samsung Blackjack, which was just as if not more difficult in removing the cover.  I just wanted to share the method, and give a visual demonstration to help those of you who need it.  I would like to thank my girls for helping me, and also apoligize for the shaking (Six year old filming).  Hope this "How To" warrants a sticky from the moderators. Enjoy and leave feedback.

Thank you sooo much bro.  I am paraplegic and it was so hard for me to switch out my batteries.  This works a lot better.  Still some struggle but not even close to what it used to be.  Thank you.

Still no luck. I think when the sales person installed the battery she might have jammed it. It can't be this tough.

Doesn't work for me.  The best I've been able to do was put the speaker end down on a table, tilt the device just a little toward it's front, then pull down on the cover wth my thumbs.  Sometimes it pops off easy.  Most of the time I give up and just plug the phone in to charge the battery. I'm working on a lever/invention that will pop the back off.  I'll let everyone know if I come up with something.

My hands slide off of the back, but it does help me get it far enough to where I can put my nail into it Smiley

That's exactly how I have been taking the case off.  When I first got the phone, I was soo frustrated that I couldn't get the cover open, but then at some point I figured it out.  This really does work, and once it has been opened a few times, it gets much better and smoother.
Thanks for putting the video up.

Once you get it open, put a little candle wax on the plastic pins on the cover. Wipe off excess.

I've never had any trouble getting my battery cover off. I may just have one of the 'good' one. I hold the phone in my right hand with the back facing, put my right thumb in the middle of the Samsung logo on the back and push up firmly. Pops right off! Let me know if this is a good method for anyone else so we can spread around as many different solutions to this one as possible.

That's a good technique Cheesy .Also, after time the cover loosens up a bit(but not too much) so it's not a hassle.Thank your daughters for helping you make the vid and thank you for posting it.
