i just pulled this phone out of the box the day before yesterday. i didn't purchase it from a sprint retailer, so no insurance

the first day, it worked fine. from what i can gather from lurking on the boards is it may be something to do with the update i was prompted with when i first used the music player. whatever the case, the phone began glitching mildly at first...this was remedied by powering the phone off and removing the battery for a bit.
it then got progressively worse the next day, now today when i turn on my phone (after have leaving it powered off with the battery out for upwards to an hour.) it just goes straight to a white screen...no samsung loading page, no sprint logo, just white.
here is the strange part. the phone is fully powered up, i am still afflicted with a white screen, but you can hear/feel the phone still reacting to the touch screen.
basically, i would like to know if it's possible to hard reset the phone without being able to access the menu. i've only had the phone for two days. losing data isn't an issue. it just seems like a really sweet phone, and i want to be able to use it.
