press the power button quickly? That's what I do. Or it just does it by itself after some inactivity.

What I don't like is unlocking it. I don't want to have to press that little button down for 2-3 seconds to
unlock my phone. Should be a slide thing like the answer phone slider thing.

I should have clarified. I meant while in a call can you you lock the screen. Right now my face pushes buttons and things.
