Confirmed working way of saving files / images to your memory card.  Check it out.....

P.S. You will have to erase / re-install Opera after doing this mod for it to work.

Thanks to tntsniper for the info on how to do this.

Hi, I changed my _policy.txt with this

 http://www.instinct-samsung.com/samsung-instinct-reviews-and-videos/really-confused-after-doing-research/

If you modify your policy you can download with your opera mini browser photos, files etc..

 YEAH !!!!

I have a friend that the samsung is virgin and can't save anything from Opera

I kill the iphone with this great feature

So wait...will this let us get around other things that need to be signed to? Or just for opera to save pics?

I followed the instructions posted by tntsniper exactly as stated, re-installed opera mini 4.2 and it worked.  When you save, you have to choose the memory card as the storage location or it will not work. Make sure you delete opera mini completely then re-install. Hope this helps.

I got it too. Wow. BTW when using QPST you have to take out the memory card and might have to find the com port and add it to the QPST list of ports. Mine was 4 which is not one of the default ports. Well done!

Crazy Person, thanks for the tip. I'd been able to use BitPim and CDMA Workshop, but for some reason QPST didn't find the phone til I took the memory card out.

Not only you can download photos also you can download any type of files to the SD Card
Always select memorycard to save your files

If you have problem with QPST.

Open first QPST Configuration, goto Ports tab and select Add New Port button
Then Select COM? USB/QC Diagnostic. Now your Instinct is in the program with the correct port.

In the same QPST Configuration goto Start Client and select EFS Explorer
In this windows enter your MSL Code in the SPC: and follow the instruction in the above link.

Remember that programs installed before you change your policy will not apply to the new policy like Opera.

this program http://www.getjar.com/products/16752/BluetoothFileTransferOBEXFTP will be good if we can authorize the restricted API.

I don't know why not working with the policy changed.

This hack has been around quite a while and I'm surprised that people are surprised.

http://www.instinct-samsung.com/third-party-instinct-software/here's-how-to-allow-the-instinct-to-use-untrustedunsigned-apps(3rd-party-apps)/

Just remember, if you make this change, you also open up your phone to any malicious code that wants to delete all your files, track all your movements, etc.
